From the Huffpost AP, looks like I was onto something about the Mitt Romney/Chris Christie Connection to all this.

Looks like they may be waiting for the "right" time to possible go after Herman should he rise in the polls again.
And now, based on the information I listed below, they have changed the link to the BIO page to remove all mention of her association to the National Restaurant Association. Now that seems highly suspicious. Here is the cached link, as the older link in the first post will show the new BIO with the NRA information removed.

So now my question is when will the other potential side of the story involving Larry Forth's departure from the NRA be reported. Guess we will have to wait and see.
